Indecent - Space Theatre - DPAC, 994 14th St, Denver CO 80202

The true story of a play that defied the odds and defined a community. Pulitzer-winning playwright Paula Vogel tells the emotional true story of Sholem Asch’s groundbreaking play, The God of Vengeance, and the passionate artists who risked everything to share it. Many European productions of the provocative Yiddish story were highly successful in the early 1900s – even with a same-sex romance at its center. But when its Broadway debut was deemed “indecent,” it begged the question of who gets to decide what is considered art and what deserves to be censored. Follow the explosive tale through scandals, war and rewrites as a defiant, dedicated few refused to let it be silenced.

Ghosted: A Paranormal Mystery - Chautauqua Picnic Shelter, Boulder, 900 Baseline Rd, Boulder CO 80302

For many, the haunted stories around Colorado are just that—stories. Recently, however, those stories appear to be coming to life. For a media-hungry “Ghost Hunter,” this is an opportunity of a lifetime. One that cannot be passed up. For a Paranormal Detective and their Assistant, it’s just another day at the office. Three ghostly cases bring these individuals together to answer the question—Are these real, honest to goodness ghosts, or are they simply figments of our imagination? You, the audience, will help to find the answer and choose how the stories truly unfold. But more importantly, the answer to why toast falls butter-side down will be revealed. Audience and actors meet at the Chautauqua Picnic Shelter and take a moderate hike on the Enchanted Mesa Trail while scenes from the play are performed along the way. Approximate length of the hike is two miles with an elevation gain of 400 feet.

Pulitzer Prize-winning co-creator of "In the Heights", Quiera Alegria Hudes, tells a story as big as America and as intimate as the love between a mother and her daughter. Beatriz arrives in Philadelphia to convince her estranged 16 year-old daughter Olivia to join her on a cross-country road trip to California. Along the way, they encounter a mosaic of characters as diverse and interesting as America itself. But the hard truth of Beatriz’s undocumented status and pending deportation to Mexico threatens to build a wall between the two, just as they are finally reconnecting. With sharp comedy and a winning acoustic score by folk-rock star Erin McKeown, "Miss You Like Hell" is an American story for our time. Content Advisory: Adult language
